Delegate, Focus, and GROW Your Business

I Got Your Back

As Virtual Assistants, we always strive to make sure we are proactive and available to handle whatever our clients need. We never know what might come our way or what we will be asked to handle next. This, in my mind, is one of the best parts of being a VA. The variety of tasks and the chance to learn new processes really keeps things fresh and interesting.

Sometimes however, our clients find themselves in a bind and need us to step in and do the things that they usually do in order to keep things going. Recently this was the case for one of my clients who found herself unable to keep things running due to personal commitments pulling her in every direction.

She usually writes and sends me blog posts and images to publish to a variety of sites. These blog posts contain Information and tips that are used by many of their customers that are planning and setting up events for their weddings. Due to the commitments mentioned above she was unable to work on them and asked me to step in and actually write the blogs and find the images to keep things going while she was away.

While I’m by no means an expert in the field of wedding planning and events, I have spent a lot of time reading and posting their information and so was able to come up with blog posts based on the topics she suggested. I’m sure we can all agree that having Go To people we can count on in our business dealings is invaluable as no one person can make it all happen all the time. I was really happy to step up and help and be a part of the team.

In the end, being a VA is a lot more than just completing a laundry list of tasks in an endless cycle of processes and to do lists. It’s about having the back of the people we work for and giving them the peace of mind to know that we can be trusted to handle things for them so they can concentrate on moving their business forward, or as in the case here, step away for a short time and take care of the personal issues that life throws at each of us.
